Oil Field Services

Directional Drilling, MWD/LWD & Gyro

Performance-driven directional services that help our customers reach their preferred target zones and maximise reservoir exposure — safely and efficiently.

Mission

Creating superior value for our clients through high service quality and new technology, all while maintaining a strong commitment to business ethics and a sustainable environment.

Vision

To establish ourselves as one of the top three D&M service providers in the Middle East, by consistently delivering high-quality services, using cutting-edge technology and providing innovative solutions.

Planned by engineers, realised by the operations team

Our drilling engineers plan the well in complex trajectories, and our operations team realises those plans — reaching TD faster, pinpointing wellbore placement and gaining real-time reservoir insight.

By defining clear goals and objectives, D&M enhances its ability to deliver best-in-class services more effectively and efficiently. Given the sensitive nature of the work, establishing a secure system setup is critical, and our objectives serve as a documented plan guiding employees in developing and configuring those secure processes.

Values

Seven commitments the D&M team holds.

01Safety
Safety is paramount. We prioritise the well-being of our employees, contractors, customers and their assets. It is the cornerstone of sustainable service.
02Quality
We equip our knowledgeable employees with high-quality equipment and closely monitor all our processes to ensure the highest level of quality is consistently achieved.
03Reliability
Quality is only valuable when it is reliable. Our clients can trust that they will receive the highest quality of service every time, without fail.
04Teamwork
Collaboration is key to our success. We work together as a team and celebrate victories together — our clients can depend on us as reliable team members.
05Innovation
We believe in reintegrating science into drilling services where it is most essential, making informed decisions backed by knowledge.
06Learning
We embrace both our mistakes and our greatest achievements as valuable learning opportunities, and continuously share what we learn with our employees.
07Environment
Save the environment, save the world. We consider caring for the environment not merely an obligation but a vital aspect of our existence.

Goals

What the business unit is driving toward.

  • Increase market share for the D&M business unit.01
  • Generate superior profits for shareholders.02
  • Maximise service variety by leveraging new technology.03
  • Exceed customer and community expectations through exceptional delivery.04
  • Provide optimised and secure services to customers.05

Applications

Where a directional programme earns its keep.

A well is steered for a reason — to reach reserves a vertical hole cannot, to keep the bit inside a thin pay zone, or to reach a target from a location the surface will actually allow.

Maximising reservoir exposure

Landing and holding the wellbore inside the pay section increases the length of formation open to flow, which is the single largest lever on what the well will ultimately produce.

Reaching constrained targets

Where the surface location cannot sit above the target — offshore from a fixed platform, or onshore around terrain and infrastructure — the trajectory does the work instead.

Multiple wells from one location

Drilling several wells from a shared pad or platform reduces the surface footprint, the civil construction and the number of locations that have to be built and maintained.

Geosteering in real time

LWD measurements arriving while drilling let the trajectory be corrected against what the formation is actually doing, rather than against what the pre-well model predicted.

Re-entry and sidetracking

An existing wellbore can be re-used to reach a new target, recovering value from a well that would otherwise be abandoned — the approach behind workover re-entry programmes.

Avoiding drilling hazards

Planned trajectories steer around known hazards, unstable sections and existing wellbores — supported by the geomechanics and well-bore stability work our engineering team provides.
